Benchmarks were carried out using the in-game benchmark utility. It's important to note that the process isn't heavily dependent on CPU power, with usage staying near 50%. PC specs: CPU i7-4790k @ 4.6GHz, Motherboard MSI Z97S SLI KRAIT EDITION, RAM 16GB @ 1866MHz, GPU EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0 @ 1529MHz. Settings were set to maximum for 4GB cards; ultra textures are available but a 6GB card is needed for them. When testing at 1080p, ample VRAM remains unused. A screenshot of the benchmark results is attached.

A 4GB graphics card should easily manage Ultra at 1080p, yet it struggles with 1440p and 4K, which might explain the limitation. Still, it seems Ubisoft is intentionally capping VRAM usage in their titles.
