Test outcomes reveal surprising browser performance.
It has been a while since I performed a browser speed test using several reputable browsers. The outcomes were quite surprising. I was surprised by Chrome's performance, as it scored lower than expected. Keep in mind these are simulated results rather than actual usage scenarios. Different systems may handle each browser differently. These tests were conducted on a Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium system with an Intel 8350 GTX, 760 OC, 840 EVO SSD, and 8GB RAM. The rankings from lowest to highest were: Firefox in 5th place, Opera in 4th, Google Chrome in 3rd, and Maxthon taking the top spot.
I don't prioritize speed over the problems it has created. Chrome and Firefox are really flawed. Even though IE still doesn't auto-update, you're stuck supporting outdated stuff for years. Sure, I can grumble about version 11, but it's not a big deal if everyone uses it. But thanks to Microsoft, people keep using versions 8 and 9. As someone who builds websites, I think all browsers right now are still broken.
Are we really focusing on microseconds for speed? Today’s world means the gap is almost negligible, with choices now leaning more on personal taste and added features.
