Hey! Your setup sounds good. Running two 32GB kits together is possible, but keep in mind that using quadchannel might not always be ideal. Some performance hiccups can occur depending on the workload. The older kit runs at 5600MHz and the new one at 5200MHz, so matching speeds helps, but it’s still worth checking how your games handle the transition. Your current specs look solid for gaming and coding, so you should be fine as long as you monitor stability. Let me know if you need more details!

They operate concurrently yet must function at the lowest common speed among all sticks, which is 5200.

Yes, but for different reasons. The issue lies mainly with 4 DIMMs of DDR5 being unreliable at best, especially in mixed kits where the DIMMs vary. It’s still worth trying if you have both kits, but for larger needs like 48GB+, it’s better to purchase a full 48GB or 64GB package from the start.

Do you have all 32 gigabytes of memory installed? Using fewer than that won’t improve performance even if it functions normally.

Both Intel and AMD derate their DDR5 memory controller to very slow speeds when you run 4 sticks (i.e. "good luck!"), so the chances of these working by just a one-click enable DOCP are probably not high. That said, since you already own all the sticks you have nothing to lose by giving it a go and you can tell us how it runs!
