To finish a task in the Task manager, you must be on the Detail page. If you're on the Processes tab, it will forward the close signal to the application, similar to pressing the close button on a window. If the program isn't responding, this won't assist you. You can only install one antivirus at a time, as outlined in Microsoft guidelines. The guidelines mention that Microsoft will assign A/V rights for its operations to a single A/V solution.
