A 10 minute test works well since factors like CPU cooler, case airflow, and others can cause most computers to reach thermal saturation in about 4 minutes, especially with liquid cooling. Intel conducts tests under tightly controlled settings at full TDP, so matching their conditions is key for accurate results. The charts indicate that Small FFT meets these needs, while Blend does not. As discussed in my Intel Temperature Guide, Prime95 version 26.6 Small FFT is the optimal choice for a thermal test because it stays within a few percentage points of TDP and uses a steady workload.

I checked both for 5 minutes and noticed just a 1-2c rise. That’s despite my NB speed being higher for better CPU performance. Intel CPUs might experience a slightly larger change since the increased Thuban NB speed raises heat.

We cannot draw reliable thermal comparisons between AMD and Intel processors due to numerous factors involved. It's similar to comparing apples to oranges.
