I've upgraded my Ryzen 5 1600 AF to a 3.9 GHz stock cooler without adjusting the voltage, which remains at 1.2 volts. After completing the stress test, temperatures across all cores stayed around 66°C, matching their pre-OC levels. That outcome surprised me—I anticipated a rise to 70-75°C under load. Also, I'm wondering how long the test should run and whether increasing the overclock to 4 GHz or higher makes sense given my current setup, thermal paste, and still-stable temps. The stress program used large FFTs with monitoring via HWMonitor and CoreTemp.

If the voltage remains unchanged, you're not delivering additional power, which is what raises the CPU temperature. Everything seems fine—you've earned yourself some free MHz at no charge.

It won't cause anything unusual, but you might need to boost the voltage, which could lead to higher temperatures.
