Hello there! I’m just starting out with PC building and need some guidance. My CPU, an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, gets quite hot—around 90°C during heavy use and about 50°C when idle. I’ve set up good airflow with six intake fans and four exhaust fans, and I’ve installed my AIO cooler properly. I also checked the thermal paste and removed the old sticker from the AIO, but the issue persists. Any suggestions?

Hello there! Your processor is operating just as expected. Ryzen 7000 chips tend to get warm by nature. I assisted someone with this issue a couple of days ago. Take a look at the videos linked here for more details on Ryzen 7000 temperature behavior.

This model line is recognized for attempting to raise frequencies below 95°C. Similar trends appear in Intel's latest processors. The best solution is activating CEO mode (which caps power at around 60-90W) or adjusting voltage settings and defining your own power limits.
