Are there any suggestions for better coolers? Your CPU is hitting temps between 88 and 92 during games or heavy use. You're currently using the stock Wraith cooler, which might not be ideal for keeping things stable. Everything else in your system seems fine. Are these temperatures normal for your setup?

This problem is recognized in Zen 4 and probably explains AMD's delayed final launch. For new builds, I suggest going with Zen 3. Avoid Zen 4 or the RTX 40x0 right now. My 5900X runs at about 36-38°C and spikes to 70-72°C during heavy use.

I understand your perspective. Acknowledging the known problem is useful, and any guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Your caution isn’t helping right now.

Tech creators suggest the gap between the cooler plate and CPU cover might be too wide. They propose placing a thin metal sheet between the thermal paste and both surfaces to improve heat flow. This is my current idea. Updated Jan 20, 2023 by An0maly_76 Revised

Choosing a tower cooler should definitely help lower the temperature. The Ryzen 7000 can get warm, but a superior cooler will at least provide some relief.

He lowered my temperature significantly, dropping it from 80 to 45 with a high of 56. Really enjoying this cooling effect.
