You discovered that the chipset drivers you saved from ASUS were actually graphics drivers. It seems they were incorrectly linked on the site where you were attempting to install Radeon drivers.

The chipset drivers were mistakenly connected on the ASUS site: they actually downloaded the Radeon GPU drivers instead. As a beginner, I thought they were the correct ones. You can now remove the Radeon drivers (using nvidia) and install the chipset drivers from AMD, unless you have any issues.
