I own a Ryzen 7 5800x paired with a Lian Li galahad 360 AIO. My case is a lian li 011D featuring nine fans. Previously, idle temperatures hovered around 40°C and peaked between 60-65°C during heavy use. After updating the BIOS (needed because my armory crate app stopped working), idle temps rose slightly. Since the 5800X tends to overheat, I wasn’t concerned. Now it stays at 60-65°C and reaches 90°C under stress tests like Cinebench. I expected a fix by reapplying thermal paste, but temperatures only dropped a few degrees. Does this suggest a problem with my AIO? I’ve heard Galahad AIOs can be sensitive. If not, what steps can I take to lower the temps? I’ll share a photo of my case so others can see the airflow setup.

I encountered a comparable problem with my 5700x. If you're comfortable adjusting, consider lowering the CPU voltage; it helped reduce the temperature by around 15 degrees.

Increase the pump speed for the AIO. Ensure all fans operate at their maximum capacity quietly. Check if this adjustment improves performance. A recent BIOS update could have altered pump speed, possibly reducing it from earlier versions.

PC looks great. If this occurred after a BIOS update, it might be related to fan curve or pump speed. Have you verified those settings?

Check the BIOS settings to adjust the pump speed. Armory crate indicates the current RPM is 3200, and you should be able to modify it there.

I reviewed all fan curves. They match what they were before. The AIO fans had a quiet curve, but I adjusted it to be more aggressive since my CPU was getting hot.

You can boost the pump speed via BIOS settings when the AIO is linked to the AIO_PUMP header on the motherboard.

You verified the actual fan speed rather than relying on the curve settings. The BIOS adjustment might have taken precedence over the app’s configuration, making this timing coincidence highly unlikely. AIO malfunctions are always due to physical component issues.
