Hi, six months ago I purchased a new CPU (AMD Ryzen 7 2700X). After swapping out my previous model (Ryzen 3 2200G), I observed unusual noises and fan behavior that hadn’t occurred before. Upon inspecting the MSI afterburner, I noticed an irregular fan curve—temperature spikes to 55 degrees in a fraction of a second, then dropping back down. This pattern repeated continuously... The issue is the persistent temperature fluctuations and the odd fan sounds. This behavior was completely absent with my old CPU. How can I resolve this and achieve normal operating temperatures? Here are my specifications: GPU: ASUS Expedition Radeon RX 570 OC edition 4GB GDDR5, CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (8-core), base clock 3.7GHz, RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4, PSU: Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 500W, Motherboard: ASUS Prime B450-A black. If the main problem is the fan making sudden speed changes, you can adjust the fan curve to prevent this. Using a very gentle curve reduces the contrast in speed. Alternatively, choose a speed setting that stays quiet until temperatures rise significantly—such as around 75°C—after which it increases to full capacity. This way, noise only occurs when the CPU gets hot.
