True. Ability doesn't always match rank. I haven't reached the top in either game and I spend a decent amount of time playing. We usually don't control the servers. Because the whole team focuses on enjoying ourselves, we mostly use 64 players per chat room.
I’ve logged around 800 hours in Battlefield 3 and I’m still at the rank of 14 colonel. Usually when I see a few players with the same clan tag, they’re leading the leaderboard. I don’t claim to be exceptional on the battlefield, but I’m not terrible either. Sometimes others might think the same about me and my friend when we’re in the top two in Gun Master—that’s what we mostly do. The only frustration is that I once cheated and got banned from GGC, so any server with that account will automatically kick me out.
