I've been playing The Crew for a while and managed to work around some issues as long as the game behaved well. The main issue is that whenever I connect, the microphone volume drops to 50%. This happens every time I launch the game or when it loses connection and needs reconnecting. I've tried various fixes online—running as admin, disabling voice chat, changing sound settings—but nothing helped. A temporary fix was exiting the game with alt+tab, restoring the mic volume to full, and it improved a bit. Mostly use Mumble for chats, but switched to Teamspeak when I realized my friends weren't responding. It turned out the game was disabling push-to-talk. Using voice activation worked perfectly. Is anyone else facing similar problems or has a solution? TL;DR: The Crew lowers mic volume to 50% on startup or disconnects and affects Teamspeak in Windows 8.1. Asus Z97-A audio and Creative Fatality headset might help.

It's happening in the same way, but it feels strange.

That seems unusual.
