You're experiencing frequent driver crashes and hangs on your RX 7900XTX GPU, especially when switching tabs or using GPU-heavy apps. The issue seems linked to alt-tabbing but can happen even without games. Specs are listed for reference. You've already tried disabling MPO and optimizing formats, and even Windows reinstallation hasn't resolved it. It's frustrating since crashes have occurred twice while typing this message. Consider checking driver updates, testing with different software, and looking into potential GPU or system conflicts.

Yes, I utilize the most recent BIOS updates for the motherboard and support XMP for RAM.

Ram is now using XMP/DOCP settings. I turned it off during troubleshooting, but that didn’t fix the issue. I also updated the BIOS to the newest version last night.

Check the newest chipset updates here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/x570. Are your CPU and GPU running at safe temps? Which cooler is best for your setup?

Yeah, I have the latest chipset drivers, CPU and GPU temps are fine, and the cooler is an Arctic liquid Freezer II 240

Try removing the GPU drivers first, then use DDU to clear any traces, and finally reinstall both the GPU drivers and chipset drivers. I usually do this every few months, a couple of times a year, particularly for newer GPUs where driver updates happen frequently. You can run these commands in an elevated prompt—Windows Command Prompt, PowerShell, or the terminal.

No undervolt or overclocking is being used; all settings are set to default in AMD Adrenaline.

I resolved the problem by going back to driver 23.5.1, as it appears to be affected by drivers 23.7.2 and 23.7.1.
