Hey there, I just checked my setup after stressing AIDA64 and RealBench. The max package I got was 150W at 175W TDP. With Prime95 I expected around 253W, but it actually came out normal. MCE is on, and a guy named Nexus mentioned issues when the motherboard exceeds 250W. In my case, I'm only hitting 250W with MCE and 4800MHZ across all cores. Temperatures are around 72°C to 75°C on RealBench and AIDA64. I'm using an MSI AIO 240R.

That's quite typical for the chip. MCE is an overclock, which means it operates significantly above the standard Intel TDP. Usually it stays within those high power limits only briefly.

so your running your cpu overclocked. If the cpu was stock, the power limits would drop after about a minute. Since the temps are fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

The power limit decreases when conditions become unfavorable, typically due to overheating. After a minute, it drops because of sustained stress or inefficiency, not because temperature isn’t a factor. If things are running smoothly, the drop shouldn’t happen.

This setup is designed for Intel CPUs. It restricts maximum power usage for roughly one minute, then allows a drop. Since you've already boosted your CPU beyond standard limits, it won't adhere to typical Intel power constraints.

Prime95 consumes roughly 140% of its theoretical load, with typical draws near 185W for 10.85k and 10.9k units, which seems accurate.

Once I acquire the MSI AIO 360 for a performance boost, I plan to keep the components set automatically. The MSI site indicated that my cooler performs adequately with processors up to the 10TH without pushing extreme overclock limits—specifically, a non-K line with all settings left on. Perhaps in the future I'll upgrade to a more advanced model, but for now I feel adequately equipped. If you're familiar with my cooling setup, it would be helpful to know.
