I've consistently used Autohide Taskbar, and it functioned perfectly on W10. Whether I'm working in a game or just browsing, as soon as I hover the mouse at the bottom of the screen, the taskbar appears above the window and I can easily navigate. After upgrading to Windows 11 last year, the feature stopped working as expected—hovering the mouse doesn't bring it up anymore. Now it shows behind the active window instead of in front, so I have to minimize or press the Windows key to restore visibility. I'm seeking advice on how to fix this issue and get the behavior back to what it was in Windows 10. Microsoft contacted them about a bug in Windows, but they mentioned it should be fixed in the upcoming update. That was around three updates ago, and I'm not sure if that refers to the next major release. They didn't seem to grasp the full scope of my problem. If anyone has suggestions or solutions, I'd really appreciate hearing them!

No changes were made, the disk was not wiped and no fresh installation occurred.

I completed both upgrades! At first I only upgraded to W11 during its beta phase. I stayed in the beta for a week before the official release. After that, I switched back to W10 because I wasn’t confident about W11, which caused issues. Eventually, I reinstalled the OS and decided to keep W11, continuing to use it ever since.
