Hello everyone. I recently assembled a new computer and whenever I attempt to start it or launch any application, it tends to slow down for a brief moment or may restart itself. In Task Manager, I notice various programs consuming excessive power for short bursts, which triggers the lag or unexpected shutdowns. Occasionally it shows Google Chrome, sometimes the system itself, or even other unknown processes. When trying to open Steam, my entire system freezes and I can't access my library, forcing me to close it. All components are brand new. I've updated drivers for the GPU, motherboard, and upgraded the BIOS to the latest version. Here are my specs: Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming Wi-Fi II. CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming OC 12G. PSU: Asus Rog Thor II Platinum Modular 1000W. CPU cooler: Asus Rog Strix Lc II 360 ARGB AIO Liquid cooler. SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB M.2 NVME. HDD: WD 6TB Blue. Case: Thermaltake Core P8 Tempered Glass full tower. RAM: VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 at 3200MHz. Hope this helps or if you have suggestions, please share. Thanks!

I just turned it on in the BIOS. It didn’t seem to resolve my power usage problem in Task Manager. Apologies for the delayed reply—I was away from my PC for a while.
