Task manager on Windows displaying basic frequencies
I have a R5-1600 running at 3.9 GHz, yet after updating the BIOS to P4.60 (Asrock x370 gaming K4), Windows is showing base frequencies instead of boosting to 3.9 GHz, remaining around 3.23 GHz. Other programs like CPU-Z list the chip at 3.9 GHz? Is there a way to fix this so Windows reports the correct clock speeds? Cheers!
Windows will display the present CPU speed. When idle, it uses that as the reference rate (3.2 GHz for you), but under load it adjusts to 3.9 GHz. The variation in your CPU specs can be found here: https://superuser.com/questions/1154169/...em-propert
