I recently noticed that task manager always indicates that my cpu is sitting at 100% usage. Despites having no lag whatsoever, no problems, the processor not heating up, the cpu fan not spinning that much, etc.... So basically every indicator is all green except for the official microsoft one. And when using a "proper task manager" like Process Hacker I get results more in line with what I except. So my question is, did anyone noticed similar results recently ? Did microsoft messed up again ?

Consult mai afterburner, openhardwaremonitor,... Run a cinebench. This might be an issue or another matter.

Consensus reached. Avoid third-party audio software. If troublesome, reinstall Windows and check if the issue resolves.

Use HwInfo to monitor CPU power consumption and activity. This helps confirm if the processor is genuinely under stress, which could indicate hidden malware or other resource-intensive processes.

I'm not sure what to think about this at all. It seems okay since I have background work running that I can't stop during the day :p. I distinctly heard the fan start up during the test. Not the main point here. But Avast did help me a few times when defenders failed. Their monetization system is bad, and they've mishandled customer data before. Right now it doesn't affect my system or improve my performance much. Maybe I'll try another install later to check. That's all for now—this is the end of my thoughts on it. Everything seems normal, which is strange.

It didn’t resolve the problem. The same issue shows up even when using Windows Safe Mode.

The solution was adjusting the power plan to use the "High performance" option. It seems the default settings were too restrictive, so changing them resolved the issue. The AMD Ryzen High Performance configuration helped restore optimal operation.
