Sometimes pressing alt+z shows high GPU usage, yet the task manager reports much lower numbers. This inconsistency is causing noticeable frame drops in games. Your system specs include an i3 12100f with RTX 3060, 12GB RAM, 16GB RAM, and a 3200MHz PSU.

There’s no single method to gauge GPU usage and Task Manager isn’t always the ideal choice. When you reduce the game’s load to view Task Manager, the game might stop rendering, altering performance metrics. Consider using MSI Afterburner’s overlay while playing to monitor it. Also review CPU utilization per core. If GPU activity is minimal and one or more cores hit 100%, it could mean your CPU is the bottleneck.
