Hello there, I have been having this problem for months on end now and it is really grinding my gears. I have this problem where my task-bar will disappear randomly and for no apparent reason other than the fact that it wants to p*ss me off. Generally, it will only happen in MS Edge Dev browser but it has happened within Google Chrome as well. Below is a screenshot. The task-bar will appear again only after i have pressed the Windows key and then it is gone again if I go back into Edge. It is fine in other applications (including with edge open in the background) but when I tab back into Edge it starts again. Edge is not full screen. I have tried the below settings with no effect whatsoever. If I turn on Automatically hide task-bar in desktop mode then it will never appear again even when I hover over it, once again only appearing when I hit the Windows key. Please help me regain task-bar functionality again, I may just switch from Windows entirely otherwise. (bit drastic I know but I am a keen Linux user also). Cheers, Brennan.

Ensure the metro service is working. If not, try resetting the metro applications using PowerShell commands.

Hey, sorry about that confusion... It seems the file 'C:\WINDOWS\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml' isn't present. What should I do next?

Securing the task-bar stops its shifting, but doesn't fully restrict it.

I mentioned it because it was set in my preferences.

It seems the unusual behavior occurs only when the task bar is positioned at the bottom. Otherwise, it stays visible regardless of movement.
