I'm hoping that someone can help me. I'm going through this problem with a PC that someone gave me for free. A fresh install of Windows 11 and it's activated, I am getting random crashes event 41 task 63. So far these are the things that I have done.
I replaced the power supply with a 750 w power supply modular.
I've done check disk with no errors.
I used memtest 86 to test the memory and it was passed perfectly.
I benched the CPU for 12 minutes on cinebench and it passed.
If there's anything else I can do to get to the bottom of this much help would be appreciated. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out.
I have an I-Bypower with a Intel i7 14th gen.
It has a RTX 4060 graphics card GPU
It has an MSI 760 vc pro series Wi-Fi. 2. Motherboard.
It has 32 cakes of DDR 5 ram
And I have a 1 TB m.2 storage

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Can you pass on a link to the prebuilt you've acquired? If not, can you please pass on the specs to your system like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
You also state that you replaced the PSU, what was the make, model and age of the PSU prior to the swap? Considering that you've mentioned the advertised wattage of the unit, what is the make and model of the new PSU?
Include a screenshot of what you're seeing in Disk Management.

I discovered this information on a website.
Event ID 41 Task 63 crash refers to a serious error in Windows that happens when the system restarts or shuts down unexpectedly because of power issues or hardware problems. Possible causes include bad hardware, driver conflicts, overheating, or power supply faults. Addressing the root cause is essential to avoid more problems and data loss.

I purchased a 750 w Corsair power supply yesterday and installed it just the day before. It's modular, and I also tested it in another PC where it performed perfectly. The previous power supply was several years old; I believe it came with IBuyPower from 2024. I discarded it, though it was a 600 w model labeled as Gold series.

I ran memtest 86 to check the memory and it passed without issues.
Did you run the test multiple times?
The power supply I purchased is a 750 w Corsair. I just got it yesterday and installed it today. It's a modular unit and I also tried it in another PC, which worked perfectly.
Corsair is the manufacturer of this product. We should identify the model since there are unreliable units from the same brand that produce PSUs. We've also encountered PSUs with a Gold sticker or badge that still failed to function properly.
I'm looking for additional details about the PSU.

So you chose a new unit? That's another way of saying refurbished. The RMe units from that time were known to have a defective batch.
