I'm not certain how many people are aware of this multiplayer Skyrim mod, but it appears to be gaining a lot of traction. Here are some articles, the download page, and videos highlighting it. I'll share updates as they appear, so feel free to let me know if I miss any out. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Page
I preferred to stay quiet until I noticed they were actively working on it, since the previous version had such issues. It's nice to witness progress like this.
Sync quality details for newcomers: 1. Quests work, but enable the setting in the server INI file. Overloading quests at once (late-game mix with new character) can cause freezing. 2. AI positioning doesn't sync properly; you're not part of a group and crimes are tracked individually. NPCs show different locations for everyone. 3. You can transfer items to friends, but they stay on the ground when picked up. Effectively duplicating items. 4. NPC deaths are synced—friends see the death on their screen, though not always at the same spot. 5. Works with most mods as long as everyone has it installed. 6. You'll see your friend's race, look, gear, and weapons.
It would really be challenging for NMM players. Have everyone received the latest ZAZ animation packs? Let's start using VR in Skyrim and plan a play session.
It requires a lot of time to set up without any changes... we had to perform fresh installations, skip add-ons because only one person had them, and once it finally worked it felt really rewarding. Another occasion my friend was determined to install Schlongs of Skyrim (I don’t understand why he wanted that or why the mod exists) so we dedicated around four hours trying and then one person couldn’t get it and we had to restart from the beginning.
I've grown tired of Skyrim's constant focus on nudity and unrealistic fan service armor that seemed forced into the game from the start.
