you can continue down to 0.1 id until reaching around 1.33 or 1.35v
my lowest voltage is 950v
on water I found 1.35v is the optimal point
I’ve adjusted it to 0.175 and feel secure at 0.15, you might lose a bit of clock speed but it will remain stable
image below shows the results from 3d mark/ and CPU profile; kept 7 tabs open and several apps running just to demonstrate its strength
my memory is set at 3000 because it wasn’t stable at 3200 or 3600

on air it would reach about 80c
It turns out my motherboard choice B550 Tomahawk Max WiFi only permits offsets up to 0.075V. Any higher setting reverts to that value. Fortunately, it provides me with sufficient flexibility, and the extra fans have prevented any crashes since I adjusted it this way.
I received the Thermal Grizzly paste and plan to apply it this weekend to check if it makes a noticeable difference. The "chart" indicates a potential reduction of around 3C. We'll find out.
Thank you for the feedback.
That's unfortunate. The current bios are up to date. Thermal Grizzly paste reduces temperatures by 3-5 degrees over the long term compared to other pastes, and it typically requires about a week to cure. Its strength lies in maintaining stable temperatures, similar to concrete—it’s set so the PC can heat up if needed when removing the cooler. For example, on an MX4, temperatures would range from 40-50°C with Thermal Grizzly, while with a lower setting they’d be around 37°C with a swing of 45°C. When pushed hard at its maximum on a 5700x, it reached 60°C with Thermal Grizzly and 65°C with MX4 (last time I used it, I was deterred by the cost and difficulty in spreading). I find it hard to spread, but ThermalRight Tf8 is easier. (Tf9, however, has poor spreading ability like clay.)
Yeah, the tip of the paste has a spatula sort of appearance to it.
I don't really anticipate being back under the cooler for some time. This is within 3% or so of being the best CPU that could be sourced for this board. No real reason to go in outside of a problem with the motherboard or RAM. Hopefully it won't be an issue in the future as for sure these AM4 chips love to come out with the cooler.
edit- yes, BIOS updated to latest
