If you get error code 0xc0000005, try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter (link below) to fix it. It used to take about an hour instead of thirty minutes. The update ran by itself when it should have run through a helper tool like the assistant. Since then, except for Windows switching your default browser to Edge and me saying no, nothing else has changed... which is exactly what I told two years ago when I first started using Win 11.
I don't mind Edge because it's basically the same as Chrome but a different company. I use Edge for my personal stuff and Chrome for work. The update didn't cause any problems on the computers that get it. For some reason, my little 10th gen i3 laptop hasn't let me install updates yet, though I guess they'll happen soon enough. -this reminds me to take this laptop out, turn it on, and let it pull the updates-
I did not wait; I runned the upgrade tool. I never waited, so if it had failed, I would have made my own USB installer since that usually works fine.
Chrome is really hungry, right? Sometimes it wakes up quietly in the background even if you turned off its tricks.
Windows has a feature called Edge built in. You don't always get exactly what you expect when using it, because sometimes it shows things that aren't needed. Also, if something is already opening on the computer, you can use parts of it without needing extra memory space to make sure everything works as intended.

I think about it like this: my computer has 32gb of memory, so I don't care if the browser uses more or less than that. Firefox lets me block ads just fine, but maybe some Chromium browsers won't last long depending on when they split from Google's code. Opera used to love having gestures and those other cool features back then, but now it runs on Chromium too.
