Some people might not get it, but this setup helps remove minor stuttering and boosts performance. It adds more frames per second to the PCIe connection. I rely on my computer for everything to save money. I use a lot of RAM, which helps too—my laptop runs better and uses less power. I upgrade my RAM a bit, so games run smoother and I don’t get high pings anymore. I also have more space for RAM. I only got 16 GB, but Facebook will likely need about 8 GB, plus I’ll have around 40 tabs open while researching. DPC latencies are still an issue.
I didn't find Linux suitable for all my old programs or games. The DOS experience was frustrating, and Linux felt similar. This is just my perspective.
Just revert to the basics by opening Task Manager, removing anything you don’t need, turning off startup features, and proceed carefully—don’t forget, I almost messed up and ended up in Safe Mode. Not a great experience!
I only use the script you provided for everything, helping to eliminate unwanted programs and reduce the size slightly. On my main systems it clears clutter and background tasks for a snappier experience. On VMs it works well, especially when using NAS for storage, making a noticeable difference. I’ve been using this on Windows 11 machines.
Occasionally these issues arise—they might not close or restart properly. I mistakenly enabled updates and performed a system restore, which I didn’t realize would trigger the update process if a restore point existed. I thought I had permanently damaged my PC. Eventually, it worked out. I keep the Startup option disabled and use Service Manager to halt anything else, relying only on what W10Privacy can handle.
I wouldn't do those things, just like using a printer or Microsoft Teams. I don’t turn it off at startup, so be careful. If you’re unsure, look it up in the service guide—MSCG and similar settings. That way you can avoid any issues.
I researched extensively and now I'm at an advanced stage, similar to DPC latency discussions. It could take several months to fully understand everything, as much information is repetitive. I'm looking for insights from the Windows 10 community beyond just the forum.
