Talk about the performance settings for Windows 11?
I’m confused about this in Windows 11 24H2. I changed the power plan to High Performance in the Control Panel, but when I looked at the Windows Settings, Power Saver was still active even though High Performance was enabled. I had to switch to Balanced mode to stop seeing that message. Shouldn’t it be the opposite? I suspect there might be a bug in Windows 11 24H2.
The only reason I could consider seeing something like that would be something like having one of those manufacturer "control panel" type programs that do all the same things as stuff already in Windows OS, but branded. Perhaps they are having some conflict?
I have not seen an issue like that on any of my W11 machines.
Does the application run on a desktop or mobile device? If it's a desktop version, power-saving features will appear grayed out and won't be accessible. I have HP Mode enabled on my desktop, and this is what it displays in Windows 11 24H2 with all current updates.
I thought it was once more a 24H2 problem, but now I'm uncertain. I have an Asus B660M with a Wi-Fi d4 motherboard, so I believe it shouldn't have any issues there. It's a desktop; it will become grayed out, but what's notable is that above the graying, it indicates that as long as it's set to performance-centric in the control panel, Windows settings automatically enable energy saving mode.
