Talk about a fresh build but there are some issues.

At first I attempted that. Later I sent back the CPU and purchased a 7600X, which isn’t available anymore. I swapped out the old CPU cables with a new set that just came in. The new ones matched the originals in appearance except for the length. Unfortunately, there’s no post yet. The red CPU still lit up without any beeps.
I saw that after rounding up the packaging, this morning I swapped out the PS for another Corsair from the RM X series as a backup. No beeps or POST, just the CPU light turning red. This integrated graphics feather is a good starting point, though I’ve always preferred a discrete GPU. I printed a return tag for the CPU and lost sleep over it last night. I’m taking it to UPS this afternoon.
Yes. I put in a new CPU yesterday. Only the MB and CPU are powered. The CPU fault indicator is on and it didn’t POST. I have a 1Tb SSD on the MB. The latest MB is past its return window, so now I’m working with gigabytes instead of Newegg.

I had to go away for three weeks so progress was halted. Gigabyte tech support was actually helpful and I flashed the BIOS to latest rev, installed a new Ryzen 5 7600. Stripped system down to one 16gig stick and nothing else. It still won’t POST, but at leas I got 3 beeps, and the DRAM fault led is lit.
Now I’m waiting on an RMA for the memory. Maybe by the end of 2024 I will have this running.
Hindsight is always 20-20, and if I could go back to January I would have returned every item I bought and started over. The fault LEDs on the Aorus MB are responsible for the progress. Call me crazy but I suspect now that the AsRock MB I returned was probably OK. So now I wait again.
GSkill switched the replacement memory, and I entered BIOS! One beep. Two steps forward. I chose the default profile but forgot to shuffle the boot order before saving and exiting. Three steps backward. I inserted the flash drive into a compatible USB port and it produced one long and two short beeps. The VGA indicator also lit up. The sounds match “VGA” on the support site, though I haven’t installed a video card yet.
I found solutions that reset the CMOS. I updated to the latest version and the USB drive remains on my desk, so I can go through the update again.
Are these instructions clear?
I’m confirming my answer since I believe it.
Today I achieved a smooth installation of Win11!
Fixing this might be harder than setting up the PC properly.
All done!
Good news. Thread closed after a long time. Begin fresh if needed. Hope everything is resolved.
