From what I see, linking and sharing with Tailscale should work simply by entering your Tailscale IP and share name, like \\100.123.100.123\Media. Windows isn’t connecting properly without a specific reason. I can reach my unRAID server and access the dashboard, so both devices are linked correctly. I’m using the plugin version of Tailscale on Unraid, not the Docker one. Anyone have suggestions? Should I adjust my Tailscale configuration on Unraid to something different from the defaults?

Don’t rely on the tailscale IP address. Connect via your local SMB server as you normally would.

I also tried it. Still no success. Sending a ping to my regular Unraid LAN IP isn’t working. It might be an issue with the configuration.

I discovered the solution by checking the plugin support discussion. You need to turn off the SMB NetBIOS configuration option.

Check the configuration options for both Unraid and Windows. The issue might be similar in either system.

It's a feature inside the unRAID interface. You probably realized that before now, right?

The issue isn't with my current status. Could you suggest alternative solutions?
