I recently reinstalled Windows 10, which worked smoothly for about two days before it took a while again—around five minutes now. This suggests the issue might still be present. I’m using a SATA SSD that’s been with me for several years, 240GB used as a boot drive. The Samsung MZ7KM240HMHQ-00005 model runs at 240.0 GB and takes a long time to boot, including seeing the motherboard logo and entering BIOS. Getting into the bootable USB during Windows installation took four hours. Once that was done, everything went smoothly afterward. There are no problems once in Windows. Specifics: motherboard model MSI MPG X570, gaming GPU MSI 3070 Gaming X Trio, AMD Radeon 7 5800X, power supply MSI MPG A850gf, cooler ICUE H100i RGB PRO, SSD Samsung 980 Pro, WD HDD WDC WD1003FBYX-01Y7B1. What RAM are you using and its current speed? Think about taking out the HDD by disconnecting the SATA cable from the drive. Also, think about switching to an NVMe SSD for Windows.
