I recently attempted to boost my Ryzen 3 1200 on a Gigabyte A320M-H motherboard, trying a high 4ghz setting. However, it doesn’t reach that speed. On the desktop, it operates at its base frequency (3.10ghz as shown in Task Manager), and under load, the CPU usage is reported at 75% during Cinebench. I’m open to any ideas about what could be causing this issue.

Have you checked how individual cores are utilized in the task manager? Consider using tools like HwINFO to monitor clock data.

I reviewed the "Logical Processors" chart in Task Manager. Each one reaches a maximum of 75%.

I also used Prime95, but it reached 75%. I'm thinking about using a slower clock to see if that works better.

It appears unusual since the maximum boost clock should remain constrained (like by temperature), yet CPU usage might seem high. Could you attempt testing using HWMonitor and share a screen capture displaying both CPU load and thermal data?

The temperatures stayed near 40 degrees, and the monitor reported 100% usage. EDIT: I forgot to note that I adjusted the clock to 3.4 GHz and the task manager showed 85% utilization.
