Hey everyone. I'm trying to figure out a problem with my gaming PC. It's a decent setup with an ASRock X570+ Ryzen 3500+ RX6600 and 16GB TridentZ RGB RAM. The power supply is an Antec EAG 750, which is a solid tier 1 unit. Voltage readings are stable and consistent. I've experienced two similar issues: once while playing Apex Legends in February, the PC would shut down and restart right in the middle of the match. Others told me it wasn't a power issue since a sudden PSU failure wouldn't cause an immediate reboot. I cleaned things up, replaced the RAM, and it worked better. Another time, after cleaning and reinserting the RAM, the PC restarted again. It seems these restarts often happen after cleaning or changing RAM. I'm curious if this is common with memory slots that have a latch mechanism on one side—especially since my bottom RAM stick feels tricky to secure properly. My previous model had dual memory slots with push-fit designs, and I never ran into this problem before.
This situation seems quite challenging to resolve. Even tiny particles of dust might lead to this problem. Since the RAM slot pins are positioned closely, dust can form a short circuit or cause interference, resulting in system lockup. It’s possible your reset switch is responsible. Make sure it’s working correctly and remove any accumulated dust from the header area, such as the front panel, which could otherwise damage the pin.
If you haven't already, install motherboard beeper. If something wrong it will make sounds.
