Yesterday, without warning, my PC stopped working around 2 AM while playing RDR2 Online. After restarting, it shut down again, and there were no applications running. The system was cleanly installed two weeks prior, with all the newest drivers. I’ve checked hardware troubleshooting and even simple tasks sometimes cause it to power off or display a white screen. My specs include two 500 GB NVMe SSDs, an AMD Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 2060, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and an AMD stock cooler in an ASUS case.

No, your device's temperatures shouldn't rise significantly just from browsing a browser.

If there’s an issue with the cooler or GPU, temperatures can spike very quickly—up to 100 degrees in a short time. I experienced this with my i5 8600K; it ran hotter than the Ryzen 5000 chips did.

I will perform a test and send you the results, including temperatures. From what I’m observing, your GPU max is around 67.

Reached a high of 105 during RDR2 gameplay. Temperature readings showed fluctuations. Occasionally the display becomes gray and then powers off before restarting.

That’s unusual. Even the stock cooler should maintain a temperature no higher than 90°C, and for the Ryzen 5 5600X the .Mac reaches 96°C before shutting down due to overheating. Overheating might also lead to visual glitches. Consider reworking and reinstalling the CPU.
