The process is becoming brief, so my computer has started shutting down automatically. It doesn’t just power off immediately; it displays a normal shutdown screen saying “Windows is shutting down.” I went through possible causes one by one. First, I increased power limits and reset the BIOS to defaults. The CPU stability test came back at 3234 in four minutes, but after resetting the BIOS, everything worked fine. Next, I checked for RAM errors during those same power limits. Once the BIOS was reset, no issues appeared. Then I tried re-seating the RAM module. After that, I re-applied the power limits and turned on XMP support. This time the CPU showed no errors in the stability test. I reformatted Windows, but when trying to install the AMD GPU driver, the screen still displayed a shutdown message—even after BIOS reset and without applying power limits. I attempted to re-seat the GPU, but the freezing persisted for about a minute before resuming. I suspect this freezing is part of the normal RAM stability check process, where it temporarily stops and then restarts. It didn’t show any errors. Another attempt involved removing a RAM stick, which allowed the driver installation to succeed, though the RAM test still froze. This freezing issue has been ongoing for about four to five days now. If we exclude the RAM problem, what might be causing the CPU to shut down? I’m considering other factors and have attached some stability test images for reference.
