System stops working after linking up with the web.
Hey everyone, I’m facing a tricky issue with my company’s PC. It runs Windows 7 Pro and an i5 processor with 8GB RAM. The machine is around ten years old, but the main concern is that a certain component is no longer available, so we need to update the software. This affects the hardware we’re using. Normally, our industrial PCs aren’t online, but for this situation we rely on a 4G router from our phone provider. The problem arises when the PC gets an internet connection—it immediately restarts, like a reset button was pressed. In the Event Viewer it shows a Critical Kernel Power Error 41. I’ve tried swapping out the network card, but the issue persists. Disabling internet on another device before connecting it works fine, but once online, it crashes or disconnects. It seems like some software or a virus might be triggering this error. Since we usually don’t connect these machines to the internet, I’m unsure what’s causing it or how to fix it without reinstalling Windows, which would be costly.
