I suspect something went wrong... I took out my CPU cooler, removed the CPU, and cleaned the old thermal paste before putting on new. When I power on the PC, it shows "New CPU, enter setup." I noticed the SATA cable on the boot drive isn't connected properly, so I reinserted it and tried again. The fans and some LEDs on my 3060 turn off almost immediately after startup. After turning everything back on, I reset the motherboard and CPU, but nothing seems to work. I don’t think the power supply is the issue since the board has a backlight and is functioning. It depends on what you mean by "remove the sata cable." If you detach the SATA cable, the connection may be lost. If you remove a different cable entirely, the outcome will vary. Clarify for a more accurate answer.
Didn't make any changes, also I attempted to remove components and it resolved after taking out my CPU cooler and GPU (also re-seating the CPU). Once I put it back on my desk, connected everything and it functioned, then I powered it off to install the RAM I removed earlier, doing so more cautiously and repeating the process. Perhaps the RAM is the issue? I tried it with the same single stick setup that worked before, but it didn't help.
Disable CMOS, clear all connections, attempt to access BIOS settings
Wow, the system started up but it's showing a "CPU fam error." The cooling fan is working fine. This isn't necessarily something to worry about—check your system logs for more details. You can likely continue using it unless the error persists.
I suppose it's the stupid warning about the CPU_FAN header not being used, because you've plugged your cooler elsewhere... Not a problem at all if your cooler is working !
