I shared a discussion about optimizing my Ryzen 5 1600 AF recently. I got it running around 4.0 GHz at a voltage of 1.2875v, which is lower than the 1.3v it was at. Anything above 4.0 causes crashes. Is this due to the chip itself or insufficient power? Should I try a higher voltage like 1.35v or keep it at 4GHz? Let me know your specs if you need them: Arctic Freezer 34 esports B450-A pro max CX500M RX570.

The 1600AF appears as a 2600 but isn't very reliable. It doesn’t handle overclocking well. Since the silicon quality is mediocre, it’s best to maintain voltages and clock speeds that are still functional. That’s why I stick with my 5600X at 4.65GHz; anything higher needs 50-100mV and causes excessive power draw and heat. Even at 5GHz with 1.425v, it won’t be worth the effort.

You can choose either low voltage or high clock speed, not both simultaneously. The 2600 typically handled around 4.2+ GHz, but you'll need to adjust the voltage for optimal performance.
