I just increased my RAM recently on my computer. Here’s what I have now: Mother Board gigabyte B450M gaming AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, GTX 1060, 6GB DDR4 3600MHz, paired with two monitors. Storage includes one SSD and one HDD, all running Windows 11. The system works fine for launching games and opening files, but it tends to crash eventually. Anyone have suggestions?

2600x encounters problems when RAM exceeds 2933mhz, so adjust it to that frequency using XMP. No, the issue lies with the memory controller on 2000-series CPUs. I have a Ryzen 3600 + B350M motherboard, RAM is overclocked at 3600mhz and might go even higher (since it's operating at a low voltage of 1.36).

You're welcome to reply, but I recommend revisiting the older RAM first before upgrading the motherboard and CPU. Consider the Ryzen 7 3700X or 3800X, and the MSI Mag B550 Tomahawk.

If it's CL18, consider checking out your nearby hardware store and testing CL16 RAM. If that fails, opt for a 3200MHz RAM. Otherwise, the tough truth is your motherboard might need an upgrade to support the RAM you're using.

Thanks for the update. The old RAM was reinstalled to prepare for a new motherboard and CPU. Considering the MSI Mag 550 Tomahawk with Ryzen 7 3700X or Ryzen 7 5800X, they should work fine.
