I was playing games on my PC and it turned off by itself without any warning. I tried restarting it and resetting everything, but it still won’t boot past the BIOS. I’ve removed all extra parts and SSDs, taken out the BIOS battery, and reset it. Still, the M.2 SSD with Windows installed doesn’t start up. It appears in BIOS but can’t launch Windows. Recently, I swapped it to a different M.2 slot and even tried booting from a USB stick, but it still won’t work. On my wife’s laptop, when I put an HDD in one of the SATA ports, the PC started up fine. If I disconnect the HDD, it won’t boot at all. It just shows some images or random data without Windows. What’s happening?

Hard Disk Sentinel reports the drive’s condition after connecting it to the second PC. The Windows Installer may recognize the drive, but there could be issues with the boot record. Consider running a chkdsk scan if needed.

Indicates running the test and notes the issue with disk placement. Mentions adding storage later for extra files. Suggests confusion about boot behavior.

Thanks For Clarifying that, I had no clue in hell that would ever happen, I don't guess there is a way to move it to drive C:,, If not I guess its gonna be a long night of Reinstalling windows, and then adding my other M.2 and Sata Drives After I reinstall windows because thats an old 5400rpm HDD thats slow as shit lol

In theory, you might reduce the C partition on the primary drive and move the boot partition over.

It's good to hear! You've got experience with creating new boot partitions, even if it feels a bit old-school now. Let me know if you need any help with that.

Did everything work just fine. If I had unplugged that drive earlier, things would have gone wrong. Thanks!
