System stop and screen freeze to less than 1 fps during gameplay

I have a problem that occurs randomly — it happens 3 or 4 times in an hour, and sometimes it takes 3 or 4 days to happen.
While I’m playing games, my PC runs smoothly with a high frame rate, and everything works fine. But suddenly the frames drop below 1 fps, like 1 frame every 2 seconds. The whole system behaves this way even when I press the Windows key to go to the desktop, and the mouse cursor moves erratically. Audio disappears and reappears along with the frame changes.
I’ve tried all software solutions, but nothing works.
Could it be a hardware issue?
My specs are: 5600x, 3080, B550 ASUS TUF Plus with Wi-Fi 2, 16 GB RAM, 3600 MHz clock speed, 750 psu, 1 TB SSD, 500 GB HDD.
