Hi, I recently purchased a new motherboard for my old PC (i3 2130, 4GB 1600MHz SKHINIX DDR3 RAM, 500GB 7200RPM HDD, Zebronics ZEB H61). It was a prebuilt unit from Dell (Inspiron 660s), but the original board failed and the power supply also stopped working. I had to replace both components. After installation, everything is functioning perfectly as expected. The system runs smoothly, with idle temperatures around 30-40°C—even though the room stays above 35°C. There’s nothing wrong with the hardware. The main issue is my CPU fan. From powering on until shutting down, it keeps spinning at full speed like a jet engine, which bothers me a lot. I checked the BIOS for any fan control settings but found none. I also tried SpeedFan, but no fan appears there. How can I adjust this fan to run at low RPM when idle? Any tips on managing it? Where exactly is the problem? I’ve attached screenshots of the BIOS for your reference. Please help!

Are you confident the fan is installed correctly? I remember there are two types of connections—three-pin and four-pin. You might want to test both.

Just before replying, I attempted to use the fan on both connectors yet the issue remains. I’m seeing idle temperatures around 39°C on both cores when the fan runs at full speed, and once I disconnect the fan, the temps jump to 52–53°C within 2–3 minutes.
