My PC starts up normally on Windows, but pressing the delete key to launch BIOS causes it to lock onto the motherboard logo. The issue repeats when entering BIOS via Windows Safe Boot. 1600MHz equals 3200MHz. Launching Task Manager and checking Memory will show 3200MHz. Odd behavior. Unfamiliar with this. Consider using another keyboard and disconnect the mouse.
Consider trying to diagnose the problem by physically dismantling the PC and resetting the CMOS. However, that's not recommended. Your system seems functional, and you don't necessarily need to adjust XMP settings in BIOS. Clearing CMOS could damage your motherboard, and altering hardware might confuse your BIOS about the new setup. It's usually best to leave it as is.
I’m really considering this option. I discovered some Gigabyte utilities that allow me to configure the BIOS settings, so I feel comfortable proceeding. It may cause issues, but at least the computer will work.
