I recently swapped out my motherboard (ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus DDR5) for a new one (MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WIFI). There was a short in the rear I/O, which damaged all the USBs and prevented booting. After the change, performance dropped significantly. Games now show huge input lag—sometimes seconds before keys register, longer load times, screen freezes, and more. It’s making gaming less enjoyable. Here are my full details: Intel Core i9-13900k 64GB 5200MHz (operating at 4800MHz), DDR5 from Corsair ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti, MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WIFI motherboard, 850W power supply. Anyone have any advice?
Did you relocate the SSD and assumed it would function properly?
It seems like you're thinking the issue might be with your hardware or software setup. You might want to test your RAM using Testmem5 or Memtest86, and inspect your SSD with CrystalDiskInfo and CrystalDiskMark. Updated on February 1, 2024 by leclod
