System shutting down while under stress, CPU shows warning signal.
Recently my PC began restarting under stress. While stable tests work fine, playing certain games causes a black screen and then a reboot. I’ve reset the BIOS, but I haven’t overclocked the CPU, PSU, or RAM. Temperatures stay above 50°C during restarts. The CPU light turns on when it happens. My setup includes a ROG B450-F CPU, RTX 2070, 4x 8GB DDR4 RAM, and a Silverstone Strider Plus 700W power supply (80+ Bronze certified). From what I’ve learned, a failing PSU seems likely. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Mostly just checking the PSU on another machine works, though it can be trickier. You might also attempt the test with just one RAM stick active at a time to eliminate faulty memory, though that seems unlikely. It’s a simple way to verify before swapping components.
