Hello. I’m dealing with an unusual issue. My system is older: Gigabyte B550 AORUS PRO (rev. 1.0) paired with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, powered by an Asus x Corsair RM750x 750W PSU (CP-9020179-EU), featuring 32 GB RAM, G-Skill Ripjaws, and 3600 Megatransfers. I have Arctic liquid freezer II 280 without offset mount installed, which I plan to put in during the next maintenance. These components are nearing their two-year warranty period, and sometimes after intense tasks—like heavy data compression or long sessions of Cyberpunk 2077—the PC shuts down. All fans run at full speed, the RGB turns to Gigabyte orange, and the power and reset buttons stop responding. I need to reset using the PSU switch. After resetting, XMP settings often fail, though everything else in BIOS remains default. Temperatures stay within normal limits (never exceeding 75°C on GPU or CPU), except for the GPU’s factory setting. It rarely crashes under load—only occasionally after a light browsing session. Last week, when I resumed playing Fallout 4 without mods, it ran smoothly, which is a light workload for my hardware. My main concerns are the PSU or motherboard. Friends think more about the PSU, and I agree it seems to be the culprit, since both CPU and GPU loads can stress it, but only the CPU power delivery is on the motherboard. What should I do next? I’m willing to invest, especially if I opt for B2B financing, but I don’t want to overspend or buy a new AM4 board if that’s not necessary. Alternatively, upgrading to a solid PSU might help, but I’m not sure it’s the right path. Please let me know your advice.

Corsair 750W refers to a general category; please clarify the exact model for better details. Ensure you're using the newest BIOS on the motherboard and the latest AMD chipset drivers. Mentioning parts with long warranties is helpful.

It's the Corsair RM750x 750W (CP-9020179-EU) model, with the latest BIOS and drivers installed. The warranty information has been updated—now it states a 10-year coverage. I don't remember it being that way at the time of purchase. I'll reach out to Corsair for clarification and assistance.

RMx typically offered a minimum of five-year warranty, which could range from five to ten years. The 2017 PSU models from RMx are generally considered to have good build quality. Do you have the newest version of the 3070 Noctua?

You can spot it by its location, and locating yours is straightforward. The OC version differs from the non-OC in bios, which you mentioned. You already have the OC one.

Just to inform you, Corsair and the seller repaid my payment. This indicates a PSU issue at least. Now I must purchase a new PSU and inspect the remaining components. Thank you all for your assistance!
