System shuts down unexpectedly without notice.
Hello, I recently purchased a custom-built PC from a local manufacturer who assembles computers. Since then, I've encountered a persistent issue where the machine suddenly restarts without any warning or BSOD. It doesn't matter what I'm doing—whether playing games, watching YouTube, or browsing the web. Nothing seems to trigger the problem. The screen goes black for a few seconds, then it restarts normally with the TUF Gaming logo. After a reboot, I open EventViewer and see the same error. This has happened earlier today at 18:55:48, and since then nothing has occurred. Personally, I've never seen this happen more than once a week (on 15 May 2022 it didn't occur three times in a day, I should have noticed). Usually, it happens every few days. My system specs are: Windows 11 Home 64-bit (version 21H2), TUF GAMING B550-PRO (BIOS 2803, latest), AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (not overclocked), Noctua NH-U12A 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro Black RAM (3200MHz, no XMP), WD BLACK SN750 SE 1TB NVMe SSD boot drive, Kingston A400 2.5" SSD 240GB Corsair TX750M (750W, 80+ gold), Palit GeForce RTX 3080 GamingPro (previously had RTX 3060 Ti), and I've checked cooling and components for overheating. Earlier two days ago, I got the 3080 and this error has occurred twice since then, but it also happened with a 3060Ti which uses less power. Are there any solutions or checks I should perform? Any advice for someone in this situation?
Start by keeping only one GPU active and check performance. There seems to be an issue with mixing HD7870 and 3080 GPUs, as they can cause instability. The HD7870 has a TDP of 170 watts, while the 3080 draws up to 320 watts. The 5800X uses about 105 watts. You might notice a click when the system shuts down.
