Details: MSI B550 A PRO (CEC) MSI 6600xt AMD 3600 Cosair CX750M (non-green variant) Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3200MHz RAM 1TB 980NVMe I’ve encountered random restarts while the GPU is active. I’m fine leaving the system running 24/7, browsing the internet, but problems arise only when the GPU is engaged. My initial guess is the power supply unit might be faulty—online discussions suggest event kernel 41 likely points to a PSU issue. To narrow it down, I’ve run stress tests on both GPU and CPU using Cinebench and AMD Radeon Software; the restarts still occur. I tested stress testing simultaneously on GPU and CPU, and PSU appears capable of handling it, which supports the PSU theory unless it fails intermittently. Next, I checked RAM—modules are new and in good condition. The GPU itself is a replacement from the factory, also under warranty, so it’s unlikely to be the problem. Cinebench runs smoothly, and temperatures seem normal (though I suspect they’re higher due to limited cooling). I’m considering swapping it for an RMA model or a newer NZXT C750 if the PSU is the culprit. I’ve already rebuilt the system multiple times to ensure stability, used all available PCIe slots on the PSU, and even tried recreating the scenario with Valley Benchmark. MSI Kombustor functions correctly in this setup. My only hope is software—maybe outdated drivers are triggering the issue, but if I’m willing to spend around $100 on a new PSU, I’ll go with that.

Check the best buy link for more details. The issue might be with the GPU or driver, not the power supply. I left the machine running and saw strange problems on the second monitor at 165 Hz. The GPU seems new, but I’m unsure how to test it further. Restarts feel random and the screen glitches at certain rates. I’m hoping it’s not the PSU, but if it doesn’t work, I might have to sell the GPU, CPU, and motherboard. I’m not very tech-savvy enough to solve this on my own. The RAM passed testing, the CPU and motherboard are new, but I’m worried about software problems. The problem sometimes works, other times it crashes after just a second or five seconds. It’s really frustrating to figure this out.

I think I’ll just come back and grab some intel or Nvidia stuff. Instead of waiting all Christmas for everything to arrive, I can return the motherboard CPU and GPU and buy new parts right away. That way, everything will be up and running faster than if I have to wait for another piece and then replace something else later.
