System restarts via BIOS interface
Previously, I experienced blue screen issues while playing games a few months ago. After rebooting, it would start in BIOS but later switch to Windows normally after several restarts. A month later my system slowed down, so another reboot brought it back to normal. About four days prior, after repeated slowdowns, I restarted and entered BIOS again. It took roughly 20-30 attempts before it worked properly. Around that time my PC was unresponsive, so I powered it off and came back on. Yesterday, while playing HL2, the game crashed, forcing a restart which brought me back to BIOS. I unplugged it briefly and held the power button for a few minutes, after which it booted again. Today, after loading my PC failed, I restarted and entered BIOS. I attempted to disconnect it but it didn’t work. My clock display is correct, so I suspect the CMOS isn’t the problem. I ran a memory diagnostic and it came back clean, making me doubt the RAM issue. When slowdowns occur, the HDD shows 100% usage in Task Manager. I haven’t updated BIOS. Please note this was written on my phone. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600XT (6 cores, 12 threads), GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce GTX 1660 Super Overclocked (6GB), RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 at 3000MHz, SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 250GB (2.5") SATA III, HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 2TB (3.5", 6Gb/s, 7200 RPM), PSU: EVGA 750 N1, 750W, BIOS: Gigabyte, Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H, OS: Windows 11 64-bit). Any assistance would be appreciated. Updated April 15, 2023 by Hisenberg1914
I disabled it during writing and it restarted into Windows. I’m uncertain about its stability duration.
