System Restarts Unpredictably Following Performance Boost
System Restarts Unpredictably Following Performance Boost
I recently performed an overclock based on this guide. After a successful adjustment, while playing GTA V, my screen displayed red, blue, and green flashes, causing it to freeze. I had to press the power button to shut down hard. Once I restarted, I lowered the memory clock offset, and the game ran smoother for longer until audio issues appeared and the screen went black. My PC then rebooted automatically. This situation might be related to my power supply struggling with the extra voltage added by MSI Afterburner. Increasing the voltage can boost performance, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you can get extra speed without adjusting the settings yourself. For more details, your card is an MSI GTX 750 Ti and your power supply is Corsair CX500.

But how can I be sure the power coming from the wall is sufficient and whether it exceeds my power supply limits? Adding 31 mV to the core voltage offset in MSI Afterburner might offer some guidance.
