I'm trying to fix this strange startup problem. I set up the system using the parts from that link you shared. Initially, UEFI worked without any issues. I only changed one setting—enabled XMP. After that, my motherboard makes a beep but doesn’t enter UEFI when I press the correct key. When I try to boot into BIOS, both the VGA and boot LEDs light up, which suggests something is wrong. I reset the CMOS by shorting the pins and removing the battery, but it didn’t help. I also tried reseating my graphics card and installing the NVIDIA Game-Ready drivers. Now the screen flickers during boot and doesn’t show the Asus logo at all, just jumping straight to Windows. Pressing F2 at startup didn’t resolve the issue either.

Open the Windows interface by locating the Windows icon in the lower left corner, press the Power button, and hold the Shift key while selecting the Restart option. This will direct you to a special menu. Choose Troubleshoot, then Advanced options, and finally pick UEFI Firmware settings. This should guide you directly to the UEFI BIOS screen without needing to press any keys.
